The Springboks disappointed against the Wallabies and lost both their matches.

Their bad luck continued when they lost against the All Blacks by 19-17, in a last minute penalty in Townsville.

The final game against New Zealand, played at the Gold Coast, was yet another nail biting experience with the Springboks winning by 31-29, when Elton Jantjies kicked a penalty goal in the final seconds of the match.

South Africa remains number one in the world, followed by New Zealand in second spot and Australia third in the world.

The 2023 World Cup promises to be exciting and action packed.
